It’s been nearly a year since Senate Bill 1 became state law in Ohio.

The legislation overhauled how public higher education operates, including by ending diversity, equity and inclusion (or DEI) efforts, reshaping academic offerings and removing faculty members’ right to strike.

Signal Statewide has covered the law and its impact at length. We’ve written about marathon Statehouse hearings, student opposition and how long some of the changes may take to implement at Ohio’s 14 public universities and 22 community colleges.

Now, we want to hear more from current faculty, staff and students about what, if anything, has changed in their daily lives since the law went into effect.

Please fill out the form below. We may reach out to you for a potential future story.

I look at who is getting to and through Ohio's colleges, along with what challenges and supports they encounter along the way. How that happens -- and how universities wield their power during that process -- impacts all Ohio residents as well as our collective future. I am a first-generation college graduate reporting for Signal in partnership with the national nonprofit news organization Open Campus.
